The RACE Foundation, in collaboration with the Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA) and UN Tourism and with the support of the Community of Madrid and Madrid City Council, is organising this first edition of the World Motorsport Tourism Congress to be held at the Madrid Jarama – RACE circuit on 15 and 16 June. This event will bring together around 300 professionals and international experts to discuss the role of motorsport as a driver of sustainable tourism.
This conference is part of the metropolitan agenda organised by the RACE Foundation, which positions Madrid as the World Capital of Mobility and Motorsport, following on from the line of work launched by UN Tourism to support the organisation of events that foster sustainable sports tourism. The programme for the congress will help showcase the different sporting disciplines related to the world of motorsports (cars and motorcycles) and their potential to drive progress and develop sustainable tourism.
This first edition of the World Motorsport Tourism Congress expects to bring together 300 professionals and high level representatives related to the tourism and motorsport sectors. Together, they will share ideas, best practices and insights from this sports tourism sector, including its economic impact, contribution to the Sustainable Development Goals and strategies to promote destinations associated with this type of events.
