The Riyadh Air Metropolitano Stadium has been selected to host the 2027 UEFA Champions League final, marking its second appearance as the stage for Europe’s premier club competition in under ten years. The first final took place in 2019, when two English sides, Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool, faced off.
The UEFA Executive Committee has officially designated the Riyadh Air Metropolitano stadium to host the decisive match of the 2026/27 Champions League season, taking over from Budapest’s Puskás Aréna.
Ten years after its inauguration in September 2017, the Madrid stadium once again welcomes the pinnacle of European club football. In doing so, it stands alongside iconic venues such as the new Wembley, Stade de France and Allianz Arena.
Following the thrilling 2019 final, in which Liverpool triumphed 2-0 over Tottenham, the stadium will again host a clash between two top clubs, cementing its reputation as a world-class venue and the proud home of Atlético de Madrid.
