IFEMA MADRID will host the European Society for Blood and Marrow Transplantation EBMT Annual Meeting 2026 from 22 to 25 March 2026. This event brings together medical professionals, researchers and experts from all over the world to advance patient care through research and innovation in haematopoietic transplantation and cell therapy.
Over the course of four days, this congress offers a comprehensive scientific programme, presenting the latest advances in the field, sharing experiences and strengthening global collaborative networks.
The 51st Annual EBMT Congress, held in Florence, Italy, from 30 March to 2 April 2025, was a big success, attended by more than 6,000 people and presenting 1,324 abstracts from 97 countries. The event thus confirmed EBMT's role as a global leader in the field of haematopoietic transplants. Keynote lectures were given by Anna Sureda, President of the congress, along with an emotional tribute to Riccardo Saccardi, who passed away in 2024.
EBMT is a non-profit medical and scientific organisation founded in 1974. It has a unique patient register that provides a dataset to conduct studies and evaluate the latest trends. Its main goal is to act as a bridge between patients, researchers and other stakeholders in order to anticipate the future of stem cell and cell-based therapies.
