The traditional district of Chamberí is home to this new restaurant launched by Madrid chef Javier Murguizu, which pays tribute to traditional local cuisine, seasoned with a few flavours reminiscent of Galicia and the Basque Country. On the menu, you’ll find a variety of dishes, from homemade stews to classic tapas, made using premium quality ingredients and served in a cosy, inviting atmosphere.
The restaurant itself resembles a lively courtyard, bustling with life. It has a good atmosphere, lots of natural light, fresh flowers and the soothing sound of a fountain right in the centre.
The menu is simple and is designed for sharing. It includes classic dishes such as Madrid's famous callos tripe stew, homemade pickles, shrimp salad, and rabbit chops in garlic. They also have a daily set menu and a large section with suggestions including plenty of hearty soups and stews, as well as produce from the local market.
There is also a good drinks menu that includes almost a hundred wines available by the bottle, over a dozen wines by the glass, including wines from Madrid, crisp, modern, fascinating wines, ‘en rama’ sherry and a wide selection of vermouths.
