Brothers David and Mario Villalón, sommelier and mixologist, have been running this gastro cocktail bar (which is also a bistro and a wine bar) since 2017. Located in Chueca, it was named the best cocktail bar in Spain at the 2021 FIBAR awards. They pride themselves on the creativity and sustainability of the spirits served here, also striving to make them as healthy as possible.
Angelita's cocktail bar is located in the basement. There, Mario Villalón and his team create a full cocktail experience using home grown ingredients, many of them from the family allotment in Zamora. They serve a very personal collection of spirits and cocktails combined with an international selection of wines and tapas.
To make them healthier, their cocktails contain no artificial sugars and a lower volume of alcohol. In terms of sustainability, they also dispense with ice to cool their drinks, instead using a special material in their glasses, tritan, which keeps them cold for several hours.
On the upper floor of Angelita there is a restaurant that puts a modern twist on traditional cuisine, made with seasonal ingredients, and a wine bar serving more than five hundred different wines.
