Set against the backdrop of the majestic Royal Palace and surrounded by the historic Campo del Moro gardens, this new terrace, which opened on 5 April, offers an exquisite selection of very dynamic cuisine, made using locally sourced, high quality, sustainable ingredients.
The space, which can accommodate up to 80 people, is open all day. It was designed by the owner Johanna Müller-Klingspor and Estribo, the catering and events brand owned by Ucalsa.
The dishes they have devised combine tradition and innovation. The menu, which will vary according the season and seasonal ingredients available, features traditional dishes and flavours with touches of innovation, as well as international recipes.
Campo del Moro are the historic gardens of the Royal Palace of Madrid. They date back to the sixteenth century, when King Phillip II acquired some land annexed to the old Alcázar of Madrid to be used as a recreational area. They occupy 20 hectares of green land in the heart of the capital and have become a world renowned arboretum on account of their botanical diversity. Open to the public since 1978, the gardens are home to more than 6000 trees, including several unique species to the Region of Madrid.
