Momus Bar

Bartender Alberto Fernández opened this cocktail bar in the Barrio de Chueca neighbourhood in 2022, and within six months, it earned a place and a star in the Top Cocktails Bars list, which recognises the best cocktail bars in Spain and Portugal. It serves signature cocktails crafted using the techniques of haute cuisine.

The bar is named after the Greek God of satire and mockery, and the décor is sleek and minimal. Created by the artist Antonio Marco, it creates a sophisticated atmosphere imbued with irony.

The space is divided into three areas: the first one features a raised bar, 15 cm higher than usual so that customers get a perfect view of the bartender’s skill. The second area has low marble tables and

upholstered chairs. The third one resembles an English-style living room, with a bookcase, sofa and a large mirror, perfect for small groups.

The menu at Momus changes periodically. The only drinks it serves are cocktails, which are carefully presented in elegant, minimalist glassware.

From the outset, this cocktail bar has proved extremely popular and hugely successful. In addition to its star in the Top Cocktail Bars of 2023, it has entered the list of the 100 best cocktail bars in the world according to Top 500 Bars and has been recognised by the 50 Best Discovery list.
