Galileo Galilei

Many think of Galileo Galilei as Madrid’s quintessential musical temple. This famous venue, opened in 1985 in what was once a cinema, now has a spacious hall with Greek temple style decor. When it started out, Galileo Galilei was the place to go for quiet drinks and pleasant conversations, mixed in with the occasional live music concert.

The venue has hosted performances by memorable artists such as Los Secretos, Kiko Veneno, Ismael Serrano, El Cigala, El Gran Wyoming, Faemino y Cansado and Juan Tamaríz.

The establishment boasts a spacious stalls area and a bar area in the upper part to enjoy the show at leisure.

Nowadays, there are live performances every night, with music, comedy, magic. It also holds book launches, poetry readings and other cultural events.
