Located in the Latina neighborhood, si nce 1995 it is one of the restaurants that has become legendary, especially in spring and summer, where you can enjoy some tapas, wine, beer and other drinks on its terrace and roof garden. In 2021, the City Council put up a plaque by the entrance, recognising its status as part of Madrid’s Cultural Heritage and the work it does to promote culture in the city.
It is located in a 19th century three-storey town house:
On the ground floor there is a large lounge, set up to resemble a Market-place, where you can chat over a glass of vermouth or enjoy tapas at any time of day. The dishes on its menu are made from premium ingredients and fresh produce from the Mercado de la Cebada.
On the first floor is the Lobby, with large picture windows looking out over the Plaza de la Cebada and the picturesque wineries of Madrid de los Austrias. During the day, you can enjoy chatting over lunch or an aperitif, and in the evening it becomes a bar area with a relaxed atmosphere and great music.
The Roof garden boasts the best views of old Madrid all year round.
It has Wi-Fi throughout.
