Considered to be the city’s main green lung, spanning more than 1,722 hectares, Casa de Campo is the largest urban park in Spain. Its large artificial lake stands out, which is the perfect place to enjoy nature whilst having something to eat or drink in the surrounding bars and restaurants.  Don’t miss our suggestions:

Villa Verbena

Paseo de María Teresa, 3 (Lago de la Casa de Campo). Metro: Lago (L10)

This restaurant created by the TriCiclo Group and The Hat Madrid is located in one of the kiosks around the lake. It boasts a large terrace and serves a wide variety of dishes, while its main attraction is the grill.

It has an outdoor dining area and a glazed area, known as “El Pabellón”, along with a bar area with high tables and others with a more informal touch in order to have a snack at more affordable prices. The menu features fish, meat and vegetables, and portions in which Madrid’s traditional cuisine is prominent.

Villa Verbena

La Taberna de Triciclo

Paseo de María Teresa, 5 (Lago de la Casa de Campo). Metro: Lago (L10)

The TriCiclo Group also has another of its culinary projects in this area. In this tavern, it is possible to enjoy a menu with traditional food prepared on a coal-fired grill with views over the lake.

La Taberna de Triciclo calls itself a "smoke-house” and its 600 m² establishment with capacity for around 400 people has a menu made up of many dishes from Madrid designed to share, as well as meat and fish prepared on the grill.

El Urogallo

Paseo de la Puerta del Ángel, s/n (Lago de la Casa de Campo). Metro: Lago (L10)

The El Urogallo catering group has two restaurants around the lake, the first of which is El Urogallo. It has a spectacular terrace and an acclimatised dining room where traditional Asturian dishes can be savoured.

Its traditional menu presents the best selection of meat, fish and wine. If you are a fan of tapas and portions, this is the perfect place.  Its dishes are characterised for their quality, respect for ingredients and abundance.  You must try its salmorejo from Cordoba, anchovies from Santoña,  Asturian bean stew, tripe from Tineo or the oxtail from Cebón prepared according to Grandma Aurora’s recipe.
