This is a mixed-sex residence hall managed by the Gómez-Pardo Foundation, attached to Universidad Politécnica de Madrid. It is especially aimed at students studying at the Escuela de Minas (school of mining engineering) who come from outside Madrid, although students from other faculties are also accepted for the remaining places. The hall of residence is in the Chamberí neighbourhood.
Gómez-Pardo Foundation is a private non-profit institution founded by José Gómez Pardo and devoted to education, technical investigation and cultural activities. Its president is the principal of the Superior Technical School of Mining Engineering of Madrid.
Accommodation consists of single rooms with bathroom and Internet access, cleaning service from Monday to Friday (except holidays) and shared washing machine/tumble dryer (coin-operated). The monthly charge includes the room, meals (lunch and dinner) and breakfast. Other services and facilities offered are daily medical service, TV room, video room and music room, library, study room with Internet access and cafeteria. There are no entry and exit time restrictions. Cultural and sports activities are organised throughout the academic year. Rooms can be booked during the summer months.
