On the corner of calle Arenal and the emblematic Puerta del Sol, a traditional Madrilenian 1936 building hosts what has been Hotel Moderno since 1955. Since then up until now, it has undergone numerous renovations in order to become one of the best options for a unique stay in the Spanish capital, whether travelling for business or tourism.

It is decorated in an elegant and traditional style peppered with contemporary touches, conveying a cosy feeling thanks to its hardwood floors. The hotel offers welcoming rooms, some of which feature spacious terraces offering incomparable views of the meeting point of thousands of locals and tourists who fill boutiques, tapas bars, restaurants and movie theatres in the old part of town.

Its central location should not deter travellers from using their car, since there are three parking facilities in just one block.
