Ateneo

Aside from its privileged location, Hotel Ateneo de Madrid is housed in a building with an important historical background. It was designed by Ventura Rodríguez, who was appointed architect and draftsman of royal constructions by Ferdinand VI, and author of emblematic works such as Palacio de Liria or the chapel at the Royal Palace, as well as being a painter.

Over two centuries later, Hotel Ateneo is a modern urban hotel founded in 2003 and located in the heart of Madrid, on the junction of Gran Vía and Puerta del Sol. Its spacious and well-lit rooms have everything necessary to ensure a comfortable stay. Plaza Mayor, Cibeles, the Royal Palace and the Sabatini gardens or Hapsburg Madrid are only a few of the sights just minutes away from the hotel. At night, only a few metres away, the atmosphere invites night owls to explore any of the bars and clubs that make Madrid’s nightlife like no other.
