Saint Levant

The Palestinian rapper and singer, Saint Levant, will be performing at La Riviera on 30 November with a concert that combines R&B, hip hop, contemporary pop and traditional Arabic rhythms. Marwan Abdelhamid, his real name, creates music marked by his roots and a multi-cultural identity that is also reflected in his songs, written and performed in Arabic, English and French.

Born in Jerusalem during the Second Intifada to a French-Algerian mother and a Serbian-Palestinian father, Saint Levant spent seven years of his childhood in Gaza, an experience that later inspired his first album, From Gaza, With Love. His music is inspired by both the Arabic musical tradition and the reality of the Palestinian people, combining these influences with R&B and hip-hop. His international profile has grown particularly since the viral success of Very Few Friends, a track in which he switches between his three usual languages.

His career is also linked to activism and the defence of the rights of the Palestinian people, a dimension that he brings to international stages, such as the Coachella Festival. His discography includes From Gaza, With Love (2023), DEIRA (2024) and Love Letters (2025).

With Love Letters, Saint Levant delves into a sound that explores different facets of his musical universe. The first part of the album combines Arabic and North African sounds, while the second part explores 1980s western funk and contemporary pop. He later extended the project with Love Letters (Deluxe), which incorporates collaborations with Fares Sokar, NORDO and Babylone and reinforces an artistic career characterised by the crossroads of cultures, geographies and genres.
