The third edition of this international festival - created in 2021 to celebrate the declaration of the Landscape of Light as UNESCO World Heritage - will be held from 12 to 14 March 2026. This event will light up the city with works by national and international creators. Light installations will transform the urban space into a unique and shared artistic experience.
The latest edition of LuzMadrid will feature 15 works by artists from different origins, highlighting the international character behind its creation in 2021 to celebrate the declaration of the Landscape of Light as UNESCO World Heritage.
In its first year, LuzMadrid won the A Greener Festival Award, recognising good environmental practices at cultural festivals, going on to win it again in the second edition in 2023. Now, the Madrid International Light Festival is committed to the environment yet again, seeking to optimise energy consumption to meet the Sustainable Development Goals.
