The Music Station Príncipe Pío will host the latest edition of HONDO on 17 September, presenting a cultural proposal that is consolidated as one of the most unique events on today’s artistic scene. Under the slogan “La Gran Tanganada: flamenco and roots”, the festival brings together a star-studded line-up, featuring Kiki Morente, Soleá Morente, Remedios Amaya, Pastora Galván, Lin Cortés and Tomasito in a unique stage format that breaks away from the traditional structure of live performances.
Inspired by the “tangana” concept, HONDO unfolds on a dynamic stage where all the action takes place continuously. Musicians and artists share space and time, leading to a constantly evolving joint narrative in which emotion, energy and surprise are relentlessly intertwined.
The line-up features well-known figures from flamenco and roots music, such as Kiki Morente, Soleá Morente, Remedios Amaya, Pastora Galván, Lin Cortés, Tomasito, Samara Amaya, Maloko Soto, El Madriles, Curro Carrasco (Navajita Plateá), Paquito Vega, Ané Carrasco, Junquera Fernández and Joselete Musho Gitano, in addition to other artists.
The festival highlights flamenco and roots music from a contemporary perspective, reinterpreting tradition without losing its essence. HONDO is committed to projects with their own identity that connect cultural heritage and new forms of expression, engaging with a diverse and culturally active audience.
Beyond the artistic side, this event is designed as a community space in which artists, audiences and collaborators share an experience based on proximity, respect and human connection. This dimension is strengthened by its social commitment, collaborating with the Contigo Foundation to contribute to a real cause through culture.
Clearly focused on growth, this festival aims to establish itself as a reference for high-quality cultural events, positioning Madrid as a meeting point where tradition and the avant-garde go hand in hand naturally.
