Pastry chef Jordi Roca (co-owner of the restaurant El Celler de Can Roca, with three Michelin stars) runs one of his famous ice cream parlours, Rocambolesc, alongside his wife, Alejandra Rivas, in Madrid, creating haute cuisine versions of this sweet treat. Located in the San Miguel Market, it is in the heart of Madrid and opens every day.
Along with the other ice cream parlours the chef owns in Girona, Barcelona and Houston (USA), Rocambolesc serves up six different flavours, all inspired by the childhood memories of this famous pastry chef, along with ice lollies and his original warm ice cream, a brioche filled with ice cream and toppings.
Rocambolesc also serves a selection of pastries, chocolates, sweets and bonbons, to eat there or take away. In its corner of the market, it also has a colourful ice cream cart inspired by the fantastical world of Willy Wonka.
