The Madrid City Council offers you all the information and services you need to make the most of your trip to Madrid
Do you need a map of Madrid and someone to recommend must-visit sights in the city? Do you want to know what exhibitions and shows are on during your stay? Are you planning a tour for your friends who will be in town this weekend? All you have to do is drop by, phone, fax or email one of the city's Tourist Assistance Services and Information offices and you'll get all the help you need.
The Madrid City Council offers advice and all the information you need to explore the city. All you need to do is drop by the Plaza Mayor Tourist Center, the Colón Tourist Center or any other tourist information point situated in key areas of the city, such as Plaza de Cibeles and Callao, Paseo del Arte next to the Reina Sofía Museum and Madrid-Barajas International Airport Terminals 2 and 4. Furthermore, there is a Foreign Tourist Assistance Service (SATE) on Calle Leganitos, offering personalised attention to foreign tourists who, for any reason, may need to visit a Police Station. On the other hand, it also brings to visitors a tourist information Mobile Unit, set up at tourist hotspots such as the Royal Palace, the Prado Museum and El Rastro flea market, and also at some of the city's most important events.

The mobile unit provides visitors with available information on Madrid's tourist offer from a visual, innovative and direct perspective, since it is fitted out with the latest information technologies (DVD, television screens, laptops with 3G Internet connection, DTT and LEDS screens, and will be equipped with a Bluetooth system, to send information in a 100-metre range).
During the main holiday seasons (Easter, Summer and Christmas), the unit is positioned next to monuments and buildings that attract a great number of tourists, like the Royal Palace, the Prado Museum or CaixaForum. The unit will provide support and informative services and will work with the SAIT (Tourist Assistance and Information Services) during the special campaigns organised for different events that are staged in the city (Book Day, Gay Pride Week, the White Night, World Tourism Day, International Jazz Festival,...). It has two access ramps, with double-height security railings and an information window that can easily be accessed by people in wheelchairs.
