At Hyatt Regency Hesperia Madrid, we work to reduce waste generated at hotels, including food waste and single-use items and increase recycling and composting.
Food waste in particular is an area Hyatt engages hotels in monitoring opportunities for source prevention, optimizing sourcing and preparation practices, modifying menu design and rethinking buffet setups.
Hyatt is working to reduce the use of single-use plastics. Some of our efforts include switching to large-format bathroom amenities and adding hydration stations.
We use the online tool, Hyatt EcoTrack, to gather and analyze sustainability data from our global hotels. It offers dashboards for analysis and opportunities for improvement.
