Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide has announced that it is going to increase its presence in Spain with the opening of W Madrid in 2018.
«Whatever/Whenever», as long as it’s legal, will be the future hotel’s motto. It will occupy the building of the old Hotel Asturias and compete with the Four Seasons, the building of which is also included in the redesign of the Canalejas Project.
The hotel will have 141 rooms, including 20 suites and an Extreme WOW suite (the W version of the presidential suite). Clients and residents alike will be able to enjoy the lively bar located on the hotel roof and the open-air WET swimming pool, as well as indulge in a cocktail whilst looking at the impressive views of Madrid’s skyline on warm summer evenings. Other areas include the W Living Room, an exclusive restaurant and a fully-equipped gym with the latest training facilities. W Madrid also offers two ultra-modern rooms for holding small meetings and events.
