The Princesa Hotel becomes the first Courtyard by Marriott in Spain

The 4-star Courtyard Madrid Princesa was added to the chain following the remodelling of the hotel’s public areas, lobby, restaurant-bar, meeting and event halls and guest rooms, of which 170 have been renovated so far. New protocols and updated security and technology systems were also introduced. Renovation of the remaining rooms and other spaces will be completed by early 2016. The end result will be 263 Comfort Rooms, 146 Premium Rooms and 14 suites. The total value of the investment in the hotel has not been revealed.

Four meeting rooms and three halls for conferences, celebrations and other events have been remodelled to date, and the lobby furnishings, decoration and design have been updated in favour of an open and flexible concept, with highly versatile spaces that can be used for sitting and relaxing, for meetings or for working. The various units comprising the reception area have also been given a more modern look, and the cafeteria has been turned into a functional Bistro Bar & Restaurant that even has tables with individual TVs.

The new furnishings and technology bring the hotel into line with the quality standards and concept supported by Courtyard by Marriott, a brand known for providing work spaces and relaxation-oriented areas and services for business travellers looking not only for functionality but also for leisure pursuits (the establishment boasts the largest indoor pool of any hotel in the city), comfort (the rooms have separate sitting and sleeping areas), interactivity and added value.
