  • The event will bring together international representatives from the tourism and motorsport sectors to discuss the economic, social and sustainable impact of motorsport tourism.
  • Madrid will host the first edition of the World Motorsport Tourism Congress, which will take place on 15 and 16 June at the Circuito de Madrid Jarama-RACE.
  • The initiative is organised by the Fundación RACE, in collaboration with the Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA) and UN Tourism, and is supported by the Regional Government of Madrid (Comunidad de Madrid) and the Madrid City Council (Ayuntamiento de Madrid).

The congress is expected to welcome around 300 participants, including institutional representatives, international experts, tourism destination managers, sports event organisers and professionals from the motorsport industry. The event aims to explore the opportunities that motorsport offers as a driver of sustainable tourism development.

Throughout the two-day programme, discussions will focus on the various motorsport disciplines and their capacity to generate economic activity, enhance the international promotion of destinations and contribute to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The agenda will feature keynote presentations, panel discussions and knowledge-sharing sessions addressing the impact of motorsport tourism, best practices from international markets and effective strategies for promoting destinations associated with major motorsport events.

In addition, the congress will serve as a platform to foster collaboration between the tourism and sports sectors, encourage innovation and exchange experiences aimed at strengthening the position of motorsport tourism as a tool for economic growth and regional development.

The inaugural World Motorsport Tourism Congress further reinforces Madrid’s position as an international hub for events related to mobility, sport and tourism, consolidating its role as a meeting point for dialogue, cooperation and knowledge-sharing on new opportunities for sustainable development.
