From 27th to 29th September 2017, a new edition of the International Congress on Transparency (congresotransparencia.com) will take place in the Faculty of Media and Communication Science of the Complutense University (Madrid, Spain).
This international Congress (connected to the Master Degree in Transparency organized by the UCM) is possible thanks to the support of various institutions like the City Council of Madrid, Consejo de Transparencia y Buen Gobierno (CTBG), Acreditra, Archiveros de la Función Pública, Fundación Giménez Abad, Plataforma de Defensa de la Libertad de la Información and Sindicato de la Administración Pública.
Evaluation and transparency acreditation systems, the activity of supervisory bodies, corporate transparency, and the current trends in transparency management worldwide, will be some of the items on the agenda.
Special focus will be placed on the archivists’ role at facilitating the access to information. Without their undeniable contribution, a wide range of public information sources would result in opacity, even for the public organizations themselves.
This is the second edition in Madrid of this event and the first one in which Madrid Convention Bureau has collaborated with media and logistics supports.
