Madrid Convention Bureau supports summer events

The Madrid Convention Bureau has collaborated with more than a dozen congresses that have taken place in Madrid during this past July and August, in the form of institutional, logistical and media support. Worthy of mention are the CERN School, the 10th International Symposium on Immunonutrition, the EUROGEN Conference, the European Social Innovation Competition Academy NESTA, and the 4th International Symposium on Riordan Arrays and Related Topics. During the 8th Ibero-American Conference on Mathematics Education (CIBEM), MCB hosted an institutional welcome reception in the Salón Real (Royal Hall), Casa de la Panadería for the event organisers, committees and conference speakers.

In terms of forthcoming events, Madrid has received three technical visits from the organisers of international meetings: the ESMO Conference, which is taking place in September 2017 with more than 22,000 participants; a professional meeting on international trade to be held in April 2018 with over 2,000 delegates and the HIVR4P Conference, which has been confirmed for Madrid in 2018, with approximately 500 delegates.  In line with this promotional and monitoring work, MCB provided material on the city during the 2017 edition of the Cornet EMEA Summit in London and which is being held in Madrid in 2018. Around 400 people are expected to attend this meeting.  Similar promotional activities were also held in the cities of Glasgow and Amsterdam to present the destination of Madrid prior to the hosting of two other professional conferences confirmed for our city: the ESSR 2018 Conference, with 500 participants, and an international engineering congress which will be taking place in Madrid in June 2019, which will attract more than 2,000 delegates to the city.
