Los Veranos de la Villa (1 July – 30 August)

The Veranos de la Villa is a key event in the capital’s cultural programme. During July and August, locals and visitors can enjoy a programme that includes the city’s major cultural venues and makes room for the most important artistic genres.

There will be one essential new offering at this year’s Veranos de la Villa festival: a new space located alongside the Puente del Rey bridge in Madrid Río. This open air space is part of the cultural backbone formed by Madrid Río, is located by Casa de Campo Park, between Iván de Vargas Palace and Huerta de la Partida Garden. This new space will be named after the bridge used to access it: Puente del Rey.

It is easily accessible by public transport: rail, bus, metro, and taxi. Furthermore, it has some beautiful views of the River Manzanares, as well as the Royal PalaceAlmudena Cathedral and the Basilica of San Francisco El Grande.

This space will stage the cultural programme that, in previous years, took place at the Sabatini Gardens. Dance, flamenco, zarzuela operetta and musical theatre will once again be on offer to locals and visitors alike, at one of the most eagerly anticipated events of the year.

Following the course of the river, this new space links up with Matadero Madrid where FRINJE is being hosted. This is one of Madrid’s key cultural initiatives that primarily aims to promote new creation. From 3 to 25 July FRINJE will offer a programme made up of over 500 projects that have been submitted this year.

Teatro Circo Price

The Teatre Circo Price will once again have pride of place in the programming due to its circular shape, its huge capacity, its central location and its acoustics which make it an ideal music venue and a reference point in the Madrid music scene.

Tickets for all shows at the Teatro Circo Price can be bought at www.entradas.com.

In addition, Veranos de la Villa will once again include, as in previous years, Conde Duque and CentroCentro Cibeles. All of this will be on top of what is always on offer in Madrid in July and August.
