In February, there were 5 candidates for the 2017 and 2019 congresses, where the potential participation of 6000 delegates is expected. The fields of knowledge of the congresses comprise the business, medical and scientific sectors.
During the same month three congresses were confirmed for 2017, including the national congress of the Association for the Study of Biology of Reproduction (ASEBIR) that will take place in the new Hotel Madrid Center of the Novotel chain, attracting over 500 embryologists.
Between 22-24 February, two technical congress visits were held (won previously for 2016 and 2017) to select the suppliers and venues for social acts. One of them took place in collaboration with the European Patent Office for the Patent Information Conference that will be hosted in Madrid on 8-10 November later this year.
In addition, with a view to potential institutional visits and venue hotels a visit took place between 19 and 23 February for international congress candidates for 2016.

1) Welcome reception offered by the Madrid Convention Bureau for the participants of the REV congress that was held in Madrid on 23-25 February. The congress was called the International Conference on Remote Engineering & Virtual Instrumentation and was organised by the IAOE (International Asociation of Online Education) and the UNED.
2)Welcome dinner for the international committee of the III International Symposium on Maxillofacial Surgery that took place on 26 February in the venue at Ramón y Cajal Hospital.
