Madrid is to host M&I Europe Summer in 2016

The M&I Europe Summer Forum will be held in Madrid from 28th June to 2nd July 2016. This professional gathering generates a large number of appointments with potential international buyers.

The source markets for buyers at this forum are the UK, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, Scandinavia and Italy – in other words, well-established European markets.

The main format for this professional forum consists of 20-minute pre-scheduled meetings every morning and incentive and team-building activities in the afternoon. This gives delegates the chance to really network with buyers, who also have a great opportunity to get to know Madrid as a destination city for congress, business and incentive tourism.

Sponsors of this initiative include – along with MCB – Real Madrid and Palacio del Negralejo, where the gala dinners are to be held, plus the DMCs In Out Travel and AIM Group, who will take care of organising incentive and immersion activities in the city scheduled for the afternoons. Kuoni DMC will also be involved and will be looking after the transport and transfers of delegates throughout the event.

This professional forum is the largest of the eight annual events held by British company Worldwide Events and is expected to attract at least 295 exhibitors, comprising MICE sector companies selling their products (the majority of whom are Spanish and many from Madrid) plus a total of 425 buyers, over the course of four days. These buyers will have a superb opportunity to get to know our city, not only by attending morning meetings with exhibitors but also by taking part in the afternoon incentive activities organised by the DMCs associated with MCB, enabling them to appreciate our city from many different perspectives.

This promises to add enormous value to the event, as the city will be showcased to more than 400 international buyers and decision makers working with congresses, conventions, meetings and incentives, all of whom will be getting a first-hand look at our city’s possibilities as a business tourism destination.
