Congress Department activity throughout July and August:
– 8 bids submitted for new international congresses, which would have a combined total of 21,000 participants between 2017 and 2022
– 4 new congresses were awarded to Madrid, with an estimated number of some 6,000 participants in 2016 and 2017
Corporate Department activity:
– Fam Trip to Madrid by an international corporation from 25 to 27 August
While in Madrid, the client was able to visit various large-capacity venues, convention centres and hotels to evaluate the possible locations for a 2017 convention, which would comprise two events involving over 10,000 people. The client thus had a chance to experience our city’s culinary offering and unlimited range of leisure activities first hand.
