New direct routes were launched in March, connecting Madrid to Birmingham, Biarritz, Turin, Bari, Bacau and San Juan, Puerto Rico, in addition to the routes already launched in December that connected the city with Panama, Asunción and Hangzhou.
On a separate note, Qatar Airways launched a route between Doha and Sydney, enabling its daily flights to the Australian city from Madrid to be routed through the airline’s hub in Qatar’s capital city.
