In the month of December, Madrid hosted some twenty congresses for which the Madrid Destino Tourism Department, through Madrid Convention Bureau, provided logistical, media and institutional support. Of particular note were the international POnTE Project Annual Meeting and the International Triathlon Union (ITU) Congress.
Regarding the promotional activity of the CB, the City of Madrid welcomed a group of nine agencies from Barcelona, Valencia and Málaga that, during a four days trip, discovered new venues and activities for groups. These professionals attended a networking event in the “Finca Palacio del Negralejo” with sixteen Madrilenian companies of the sector members of the MCB, and the national company which operates freight and passenger trains in Spain RENFE which aim was to improve the knowledge of the MICE sector of Madrid and create new relationships between the participants.
