Notre-Dame in Paris. The Augmented Exhibition

From 25 April to 14 July, the CentroCentro cultural space is hosting an exhibition that spans 850 years of history of Notre-Dame Cathedral, a French Gothic masterpiece, from its origins in the 12th century to its restoration following the fire in 2019.

Equipped with a HistroPad tablet, visitors will be able to scan the 21 Gates of Time to wander around the different historic events, such as the lavish wedding of King Henry IV, the 19th-century construction of Notre-Dame’s iconic spire or the coronation of Napoleon Bonaparte, among others.

The reconstructions featured on the digital tablet have been produced in collaboration with a scientific committee of experts in order to guarantee absolute historical rigour. The device uses technology that is accessible to visitors of all ages and technological know-how. With narrations available in 13 languages, they're complemented with a virtual treasure hunt for children and an integrated selfie studio.

This augmented exhibition, which is coming to Spain for the first time, has already attracted more than 380,000 visitors worldwide, in cities like Paris, London, Washington, Montreal and Dubai. The exhibition is produced by Histovery, in collaboration with the Public Establishment for the Conservation and Rebuilding of Notre-Dame in Paris and thanks to the exclusive sponsorship of L’Oréal Groupe.
