Located in the historic centre of Madrid, the Palacio de Villahermosa has housed the Thyssen-Bornemisza Collection since 1992. This Museum came about through the firm intention of the Thyssen-Bornemisza family and the Spanish State to keep together a remarkable group of works of art.
The Private Visits Programme aims to promote knowledge of this great collection through showing it privately to small groups of people who will be able to enjoy their visit when the Museum is closed to the public. Guided by art historians, these invited guests will discover one of the world’s most important collections of western art.
In addition to helping the Museum preserve and promote its Collection, there is the additional benefit of conveying the image of a company closely linked to the world of art and culture.
