Measures and recommendations

In this section you will find a summary manual and infographics based on the guidelines “Medidas para la reducción del contagio por el coronavirus SARS-CoV-2”, to actively prevent Covid-19 infection in the tourism industry.

The Instituto para la Calidad Turística Española ICTE (Institute for Spanish Tourism Quality), at the request of the Secretaría de Estado de Turismo SET (Ministry of Tourism) and in coordination with the Spanish Ministry of Health, prepared and published 21 guides with recommendations last month of May; MCB has analyzed six guides, those most important for the meeting tourism (hotels, museums and heritage sites, tour guides, tourist transport, food services and MICE).

These guides do not have the status of regulation, and therefore their implementation is not mandatory but rather voluntary on the part of establishments and service providers.

The guides contain recommendations for service, cleaning and disinfection, maintenance and risk management for the different sub-sectors of the tourism sector.
