CORONAVIRUS: LATEST UPDATES

On Sunday 21 June, the three-month state of emergency declared in response to the coronavirus pandemic came to an end. The borders have now been reopened to visitors arriving from Schengen countries, the UK and twelve other third countries. People are allowed to travel freely around the country, face masks continue to be mandatory in public places and social distancing rules must be followed.

The museum has reopened to the public with a unique exhibition which sees its most iconic artworks displayed together for the first time (Prado Museum - Central Gallery. Till 29 November).

Classic music and nature come together on summer nights when the Bankia Symphonic Orchestra performs pieces by Bach or Saint-Saëns, among others (Royal Botanic Gardens. Fridays. 3 Jul-30 Oct).

Essential cult films screened on a 14-metre stage in original subtitled version (Gran Teatro Bankia Príncipe Pío. Till 27 September).
