Since its debut in 1969, the group, YES, has become one of the best known bands when it comes to progressive rock. The Saxon legends present The Classic Tales of Yes Tour, a tour which will stop off in Madrid, on 2 May in La Riviera, in which the 1973 Tales from Topographic Oceans album will be performed in its entirety, as well as other classics.
Therefore, the show will comprise two sets. The first will feature favourite classic tracks from the YES’ extensive catalogue, such as Owner of a Lonely Heart or Roundabout; whilst the second will be devoted entirely to Tales from Topographic Oceans (1973), the group’s sixth studio album which marked a slight change in direction.
Its innovation, the musical freedom that it professes, the virtuosity and, above all, the way in which the contents are developed turned Tales from Topographic Oceans into a hit and a must reference for many of today’s progressive rock and heavy metal musicians.
Now, the British legends are back to relive the epic tracks of this album live and they will count on Steve Howe (guitars, vocals), Geoff Downes (keyboard), Billy Sherwood (bass, vocals), Jon Davison (vocals and acoustic guitar) and Jay Schellen (drums).
