Voices (Voces) is the title of this production by the flamenco artist, which opened in the Champs-Élysées Theatre in Paris to rave reviews. It has also been praised in Mexico, the US and, of course, Spain.
Sara Baras has been performing professionally now for two decades, and continues to tread the boards with this production. Voices (Voces) is a show in which the dancer pays tribute to the artists that have most influenced her career.
Paco de Lucía, Camarón de la Isla, Antonio Gades, Enrique Morente, Moraíto and Carmen Amaya are all present in Sara Baras' show, contributing different rhythms and styles: seguirilla, taranta, farruca, tiento, solea, tangos, solea por bulería, romance…
Once again, Sara Baras has directed and choreographed Voices (Voces) herself, and is accompanied by José Serrano, as her guest artist, and a wonderful dance company. The show also features contributions from J. Jiménez ‘Chaboli’, the journalist Carlos Herrera and the pianist Sergio Monroy.
