The Taiwanese company, Cloud Gate Dance Company, performs Rice, a dance show that incorporates elements of the culture and history of the harvest with the most beautiful modern choreographic beats.
With the choreography of Lin Hwai-min, the work came about from the landscape of Chihshang, Rift Valle in Taiwan, whose fields were contaminated due to the use of chemical fertilizers. However, most of the surface area was recovered thanks to ecological cultivation.
Hwai-min took his dancers to the harvesting of those lands, bringing together farmers and rounding off an experience that helped them understand life in the fields. From there, a production with incredible movements arose in honour of the sun, land, wind, water and fire.
