The 4th Ingenia Jazz & Wine Festival is being held in July. This event, sponsored by Vinos Ingenia, brings wines and jazz music together. Taking place at Teatro Santa Isabel this year, it’ll feature three leading international artists.
The first to come on stage will be Rachelle Bentley, on 8 July. Bentley is a British singer whose original style includes classic jazz notes. She’s releasing an album with pop songs soon.
On 15 July, it’ll be Yoio Cuesta’s turn. The Madrid-born singer, dancer and actress will be back after performing at Ingenia Jazz & Wine with Sweet Adu (Tributo a Sade). On the stage for the past 20 years, Cuesta has a warm, elegant voice, and one of the most powerful in the Spanish jazz scene.
Finally, on 22 July, the Santa Isabel theatre will welcome NES, the band led by Algeria-born French singer and cellist Nesrine Belmokh. Their music explores the traditions of North Africa, as well as contemporary jazz. The band’s other members are Matthieu Saglio (cello and sampler) and David Gadea (percussion).
