The Bach Vermut season will be brought to a close with a special concert by English organist David Briggs and Spanish soprano Eugenia Boix. The concert will feature a brand new arrangement of Gustav Mahler's Fourth Symphony for organ.
Briggs is a brilliant artist in residence at St. James Cathedral in Toronto. He is known as a prolific composer and for his transcriptions for organ. He specialises in Bach but has a broad repertoire, having performed all around the world.
Eugenia Boix is a soprano from Aragon in Spain. She has sung under the direction of conductors such as Federico María Sardelli, Carlos Mena, Mónica Huggett and Juan Carlos Rivera. She has also performed at important institutions such as the Teatro de la Maestranza, the Mozart Festival in La Coruña and the Oviedo Opera, among others.
