The Cívitas Metropolitano Stadium will host the first leg of the quarter finals of the Champions League on 10 April in which the red and white side will play against the German squad at home. Atlético de Madrid has played against Borussia Dortmund six times, having won twice, tied once and lost three times.
Simeone’s side got through to the next round after beating Inter Milan in the Round of 16. Having lost 1-0 in the first leg, the Madrid side started losing in the return match with a goal by Dimarco, but Griezmann and then Memphis managed to turn the score around. The match went to extra time and then to penalties, in which the goalkeeper Oblak saved the day, stopping two possible goals.
