The 1975

The British pop-rock band led by the vocalist Matty Healy will be performing at the WiZink Center on 27 February as part of their latest tour of concerts Still… At Their Very Best with which they are touring part of Europe and the United Kingdom. It is an event in which you will be able to listen to their best songs, as well as the most recent ones included in their fifth album Being Funny in a Foreign Language (2022).

The 1975 is one of the big hits of English music in recent years. With the release of their debut album in 2013, the quartet proclaimed themselves as a rock-indie group with melodic pop ambitions. The band is made up of vocalist and guitarist, Matty Healy; Adam Hann on guitar; George Daniel on drums and backing vocals; and Ross MacDonald on bass. Their musical approach contains influences from British rock, new wave and 1980s and 1990s Britpop by groups such as My Bloody Valentine, Talking Heads and artists such as Michael Jackson, Oasis and David Bowie.

Over the past decade, The 1975 have established themselves as the defining band of their generation, thanks to their distinctive aesthetic, passionate fan base and unique sound approach. Songs like Chocolate or Girls were established as generational anthems and helped them break into the music scene and launch their career.

They have released four EPs and five studio albums, the most recent of which, Being Funny in a Foreign Language was released in 2022 to great reviews. In 2023, they will release a series of new limited edition formats of their debut album The 1975 (2013) to celebrate the album's tenth anniversary The band has recently been awarded the Best Rock/Alternative Act at the BRIT Awards 2023.
