Samarkanda

Located in the tropical garden at Atocha Station, Samarkanda blends in with its surroundings. It is a British colonial-style mansion standing under the spectacular modernist ceiling of the station.

Samarkanda, mythical city located on the silk route, is meant to be an exotic space, decorated with dark wood. In terms of gastronomy, their vegetables and meats are noteworthy, yet they are simple dishes with simple names, and at affordable prices.

Under the guidance of chef Jesús Barbolla, this is a good place to try the Madrilenian tripe. To wash them down, they offer a good selection of Spanish references, as well as several cavas and champagnes.
