Right in the heart of the Chueca district we find the most informal dining proposal by Omar Malpartida, the young Peruvian chef who also heads up Tiradito, one of the city's leading Peruvian restaurants.
The informality of Barra/M can be seen in its food, dedicated to Peruvian street food, and it its aesthetic, since there are no individual tables but instead a large steel bar-table designed to share dishes, where the chefs also work. Its dishes include choritos (mussels prepared with leche de tigre marinade, onion, tomato, corn, and yellow aji sauce), ceviche and aguachile, stuffed avocado, and gyoza dumplings with meat, chipotle chilli peppers, creole salsa, and mint.
