This colourful African restaurant is in the vicinity of the Teatro Real and aims to be a space for cultural exchange between Sub-Saharan Africa and Spain.
The menu at ElMandela includes famous dishes from traditional African cuisine, with specialities particularly exotic meats, such as zebra, crocodile or deer, and stews like thiep yape (rice with fish and vegetables), koki (African bean and palm oil pasta) or acheque (dried yucca accompanied with fish or meat). The offer is rounded off with a selection of home-made cakes and coffee or tea brought from the neighbouring continent.
ElMandela is also a social and employment insertion project that seeks to extend training and access to catering jobs for Africans.
