Welcome to Madrid
Due to the coronavirus pandemic, this year’s Madrid Pride will be going virtual. The Organising Committee of the LGBTQ+ Pride – comprising the National Federation of Lesbians, Gays, Transsexuals and Bisexuals (FELGTB), COGAM, Madrid LGTB+ Association and the Association of Companies and Professionals for the LGBTQ+ community in Madrid (AEGAL) – will be holding the virtual event from 1 to 5 July, and it will include online events on 28 June, LGTB Pride Day.
As the warm weather engulfs the city, flags and bunting go up all over Chueca neighbourhood and Madrileños prepare to celebrate Madrid Pride, an event that draws nearly two million visitors from across the globe. Enjoyed by people of all ages, genders, sexualities, races and faiths, it is living proof that Madrid is an open, cosmopolitan and diverse city.
After the huge success of the WorldPride 2017, Madrid has become one of the best LGTBIQA+ destinations of the world. The parade held on the 4th of July (from Atocha to Plaza de Colón) is the main event of Pride.
