Loewe (Serrano-Woman)

Loewe is a European company created by a German in Spain and with French capital. Enrique Loewe Roessberg in a leather goods workshop in Calle del Lobo, which is currently called Echegaray. Later, he acquired a store in Calle del Príncipe to sell the goods made in the workshop.

Legend has it that American writer Ernest Hemingway gave actress Ava Gardner a Loewe handbag as a present. This icon of Madrilenian fashion has always been renowned for the incomparable feel of their items, crafted with what is known as the best leather in the world -100% Spanish sheepskin , which is now synonymous of luxury and distinction. In 1965, Enrique Loewe Lynch, third heir in the Loewe dynasty, developed the idea of expanding the leather goods to an exclusive women’s prêt à porter collection.

Designers such as Karl Lagerfeld or Laura Biagiotti have also worked for the Spanish label. Loewe opens a world of elegance and attention to detail for women, with unique and hand-crafted pieces .
