Platea Madrid is a revolutionary gourmet space that is already a major reference in the gastroexperience concept. A versatile space covering 5,800 square metres, offering numerous leisure proposals to enjoy while you have a meal or some tapas. It also offers flavours from around the world, with examples of cuisine from Peru, Japan, Mexico, and Italy.
Platea is one of the top spots for gourmet taste buds in Madrid. It is located within the former Carlos III cinema - in the central Plaza de Colón-, which was transformed by Lázaro Rosa-Violán , retaining its entire structure, with the box seats, orchestra pit and stage. The space is divided into several floors dedicated to gastronomy:
El Patio (ground floor): a space for tapas: croquettes, homemade omelettes, tempura, salads, sandwiches, the best ham from free-range acorn-fed pigs, and our typical pickles. Together with its impressive bars designed to offer the best draught beer and a wide variety of wine and vermouth, cava and champagne.
El Foso (-1 Floor): different food stalls offering Mediterranean and international cuisine combined with cutting-edge international gastronomy.
El Escenario: where concerts, shows and performances are held.
Canalla Bistró (first floor): Ricard Camarena, the Valencia-born chef (3 Michelin stars and 3 Repsol suns) offers an avant-garde and surprising culinary experience using the best produce and his typical creations.
El Palco (2 Floor): a beautiful bar and a thousand drinks to choose from and enjoy the creativity of the bartenders.
El Club (3 Floor): the best kept secret of Platea, a place where you can enjoy an intimate ambience combined with the elegance that surrounds this setting.

Platea’s accessibility is guaranteed as they have an electric elevator from the Marqués de Zurgena side-street and, once inside, there are elevators to every floor.
