Madrid celebrates architecture in October

This October both locals and visitors are invited to take part in three initiatives aimed at bringing us all into closer contact with architecture and allowing us to get to know more about our city: Open House Madrid, a festival that gives us the chance to peek behind the closed doors of dozens of buildings; Architecture Week, packed with activities and featuring New York as this year’s guest city; and Madrid Otra Mirada, a Madrid City Council initiative aimed at raising awareness of the city's historic and cultural heritage. Exhibitions, talks, tours, walking routes and workshops are all being held in Madrid during October as the city pays a well-deserved tribute to its architecture.

A two-day festival which involves the opening of more than one hundred buildings and spaces (30 Sept-1 Oct).

An event to discover the world of architecture and urban development through tours, exhibitions and talks (September-October).

Architecture continues to be the queen of October in Madrid with the city’s cultural heritage festival (20-22 October).
