
The University of Texas Wind Ensemble, conducted by Jerry Junkin, will play the Candide Overture and Symphonic Dances from West Side Story by Leonard Bernstein; First Suite in E Flat for Military Band by G. Holst; Concert for the Flute (François Minaux, soloist) by C. Chaminade; and Circus Maximus by J. Corigliano. Jerry Junkin has been conducting this group since 1988. Since 1993, he has also been the conductor of the Dallas Wind Symphony, and in 2003 he was appointed artistic and musical director of the Hong Kong Wind Philharmonic.
* Entry is free of charge until seating capacity is reached. Each person will be given a maximum of two tickets at the ticket office of the Jardines de Sabatini starting at 6:00 pm on the day of the concert.
