
Madrid native Silvya Torán performs a two-piano version of Brahm’s Piano Concerto No. 1 in D Minor Op. 15. This concerto is regarded as the first great work by the German composer, and he himself performed it on piano at the premiere of the piece in Leipzig in 1859. Sylvia Torán, a pianist who has trained at Madrid’s Real Conservatorio Superior de Música, New York’s Juilliard School of Music, Rome’s Accademia di Spagna and other venues, has given recitals, concerts with orchestra and chamber music in Mexico, Santo Domingo, Poland, Switzerland, France, the United States, Chile, the United Kingdom, Canada, etc.
